Living For Christ Part IV

Worry is one of the strategies of the devil that is aimed at wasting the believers time, because it does not change anything. All it does is to steal the joy of your salvation and keep you busy doing nothing. Our scriptural focus for today states – I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die. {Gal 2:21  NLT}.
In the days of Apostle Paul, there were still people who profess to be Christians but were still depending on the rules and regulations of the law as the basis for righteousness with God. Apostle Paul was emphasizing that, he was not among those who were treating the grace of God as revealed through the death and resurrection of Christ as meaningless by indulging in some other practices that may appear good in the eyes of humans but before God its actually insulting the whole process of grace. There are many ways in which Christians can treat the grace of God as meaningless, and most times such people do not realize that they are frustrating the grace of God.
When a Christian willfully continues in sin, he/she is treating the grace of God as meaningless, because the power of sin or the devil’s influence over that person was broken after the salvation experience. To willfully continue in sin after the salvation experience is like a dog going back to its vomit.
When deliverance is prescribed as a condition for making one’s salvation complete, that is also treating the grace of God as meaningless, because salvation is the actual deliverance. Everyone on this earth is either under the control of the Holy Spirit or an evil spirit and both cannot co-inhabit in one life. Before salvation, a human is controlled by an evil spirit but at the salvation experience, the coming in of the Holy Spirit drives away the evil spirit and that is the true biblical deliverance from the bondage of sin and the devil.

Grace brought life to humanity.

Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
