For I fully expect and hope that I will never be ashamed, but that I will continue to be bold for Christ, as I have been in the past. And I trust that my life will bring honor to Christ, whether I live or die. {Phil 1:20  NLT}

For unbelievers, life on earth is all there is, that is why it is normal for them to strive with all their might for the values seen as the best in this world – money, popularity, power, fame prestige etc. Our scriptural focus for today states – For I fully expect and hope that I will never be ashamed, but that I will continue to be bold for Christ, as I have been in the past. And I trust that my life will bring honor to Christ, whether I live or die. Apostle Paul has refused to define Christ according to the unpleasant situation he found himself because of the gospel, rather his love and passion for Christ and the gospel is unstoppable. His trust and confidence in Christ brought him to the point were he knows he will never be ashamed in the pursuit of his kingdom assignment, rather he will continue to be bold for Christ, as he has been doing in the past.
Sometimes life situations that are unpleasant attempts to take away our hope in Christ and presents itself as though shame awaits us, instead of accepting that, why not take the position apostle paul took, refusing to shift your expectation and hope in Christ. In our world, it is only those believers who have made up their minds to be bold for Christ like apostle paul, can truly live a life that will reflect Christ and the ideals of the gospel to the world.
The reason for apostle Paul’s unwavering trust, confidence and hope in Christ was not in the material rewards he will get from Christ or the brethren, rather it was in the desire to live a life that will honour Christ whether in life or in death.
As a believer that is journeying through this earth, your ultimate desire or pursuit should be to live a life that will truly honour Christ.

Be bold for Christ, honour Him with your lifestyle.

Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
