Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit, {Eph 5:18  NLT}

The desire to always be filled with the Holy Spirit should be an on-going experience in the life of every believer. Our scriptural focus for today states – Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life, instead be filled with the Holy Spirit. The contrast between being filled with wine and filled with the Holy Spirit is obvious. They both have something in common that made Apostle Paul to draw our attention to this contrast as believers, that is – Someone can be under an Influence that can affect him/her positively or negatively, whether of wine or the Holy Spirit. If you allow yourself to be under the influence of wine, the scriptures says your threading on a path that will ruin your life, and it doesn’t matter the momentary relief or pleasure you get from it. You should know that the pleasures that sin gives is momentary, but the pleasures that comes from the Holy Spirit is Eternal. It is therefore your personal responsibility to always bring yourself under the influence/control of the Holy Spirit on a daily basis.

Only the influence of the Holy Spirit can make you positively influence your world for Christ.

Have a Grace filled day
