Children of Promise Part 1
Gods desire is to daily grow and mature your faith. As His child, you must change your mindset in order to be elevated to His level of life and not remain at the level of the world. Our scriptural focus for today states – And you, dear brothers and sisters, are children of the promise, just like Isaac. {Gal 4:28 NLT}
The Holy Spirit through Apostle Paul applies the biblical truth of Isaac’s birth to that of the new testament believer in Christ. The birth of Isaac was supernatural and was equally based on God’s infallible Promise to father Abraham and mummy Sarah, likewise every believer in Christ experiences supernatural birth at the point of salvation and the salvation experience is fueled by God’s infallible promise made through Christ to the entire human race.
It will be important to emphasize that; As children of Promise, believers in Christ are in a distinct category because of their supernatural birth and the promises of God they daily live to fulfill and therefore should not for any reason live like children of bondage.
With the privileged life and position you who have discovered the way of salvation has in Christ, it will be an insult on spiritual knowledge to think, more so to believe that you’re in bondage to the devil or the principles of this world. As Isaac was the sole heir to the promises of God to father Abraham, in the same vein, we are the recipients of all the promises God made to Christ and we are required to live in their fulfilment during our earthly pilgrimage. Do not allow the devil or any unpleasant situation which is not in conformity with your privileged life in Christ, convince you into believing that you’re in bondage. My dear it is your personal responsibility to stand your ground and always declare by speech and action of faith that you’re a child of promise.
You’re the fulfilment of God’s promise
