I have sent him to you for this very purpose—to let you know how we are doing and to encourage you. {Eph 6:22  NLT}

In Gods work on the earth, there are those saddled with the responsibility to Go, while there are others with the responsibility to support those who Go. Tychicus was among those who spent their time travelling to different parts of the then known world because of the gospel of Christ. Our scriptural focus for today states – I have sent him to you for this very purpose—to let you know how we are doing and to encourage you. The purpose of sending Tychicus to the Ephesians by Apostle Paul was to among other things –
1. To enlighten them about their personal welfare/wellbeing which is very important to the success of the work committed to them. Learning to always be interested in the welfare/wellbeing of Gods ministers is very key to the success of their ministry work here on earth.
2. To also encourage the brethren. Ministers should also learn to be an encouragement to their members and other believers. As a minister you can encourage other believers through preaching/teaching the balanced truth of the gospel of Christ, showing then the love of Christ through visitations to both the rich and poor, Learning to always speak words of encouragement to them that will always edify and uplift their spirit/faith.

Let your presence/association with other believers bring encouragement to them.

Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you
