The Dangers of Ignorance Part I
Never give up on any dream/vision just because of the time it will take to accomplish it, be patient, be focused and wait on God, it will amaze you how He will help you. Our scriptural focus for today states – Think of it this way. If a father dies and leaves an inheritance for his young children, those children are not much better off than slaves until they grow up, even though they actually own everything their father had. {Gal 4:1 NLT}
The Holy Spirit through Apostle Paul uses a normal human practice to illustrate a spiritual event. He draws our attention to think in this direction – for instance, if a father dies and leaves an inheritance for his young children, the emphasis here is on the phrase young children, which in the eyes of the human laws the young children are seen as minors and therefore cannot execute or take full possession of the inheritance their father left for them. At this instance, the young children are not in anyway better than the adult slaves in their father’s house until they grow up.
The phase of their life when they are considered as young children and unable to take full possession of their father’s inheritance can be likened to the era of Ignorance, while the phase when they will be considered as having grown up can be likened to the stage of their lives when they have gained Understanding and Knowledge. No doubt, the young children own everything their father has but ignorance of the content/provisions of the inheritance due to their age denies them the privileges that the inheritance has for them.
Ignorance in most cases is the devil that bedevils many believers and robs them of the privilege of fully executing or taking possession of the inheritance that their FATHER [God] has made available for them during their earthly pilgrimage. It will be important to state that God’s inheritance made available to us on this earth will never be needed in heaven, so if you allow the devil through ignorance to rob you of the privilege of enjoying those inheritance here on earth, you will have no one to blame but yourself.
Ignorance takes away your privileges and leaves you a failure.
Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
