We have been on the series – Tips for maintaining sexual integrity as believers. We have maintained that sexual integrity is basically about faithfulness to the marriage covenant or purity in relationship for engaged people.

Tip 4: GET CONNECTED

Sexual sin thrives greatly in the dark. If you’re caught up in any sexual vice, one thing is certain: The secrecy surrounding your behavior is what strengthens its hold on you. The more you run your relationship in the dark, the more you expose yourself to sexual danger. However ashamed you may feel about admitting your problem to another person, the reality is this: You can’t overcome this on your own. If you could, wouldn’t you have done so by now? Feeling ashamed about any sexual vice does not in anyway bring solution, sometimes it can even help produce excuses to justify your sin. Take a hint from James: ” Admit your faults to one another and pray for each other so that you may be healed. ” (James 5:16  TLB) Find a trusted, mature Christian friend to confide in. Take full responsibility for your actions, while confiding in that Christian friend. Make that friend a partner in your recovery process, and NEVER assume that you’ve reached a point where you no longer need accountability.

We are stronger, when we stand together.
