For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better. {Phil 1:21 NLT}
Seeing the human existence here on earth from an eternal perspective, should be the true mindset of every believer, because the worth of our lives is not on the material possessions or attainments we have. Our scriptural focus for today states – For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better. Apostle Paul was a man whose priority for living was very clear and simple. Even in prison, he was not ashamed to declare that Christ is both the center of his life and joy. Having been set free from the fear of death through his knowledge of the work of Christ, he could boldly say – My continuous living is for Christ and if i die even through this imprisonment its great gain. The example of apostle paul is calling believers back to the true essence of Christianity.
Have you been carried away by the pursuit of a good life here on earth and the sweetness of life itself that is based on the comfort who have acquired that you are now losing focus on the true meaning of the Christian life. One of the principal strategies of the devil in the church today is the introduction of The Fear of Death among believers, which has given birth to all manner of unscriptural prayers, confessions and lifestyles. As a believer, if you dont come to the understanding that Christ conquered death and the fear of it for every believer on the cross, and live daily based on this informed spiritual position, the devil through your fellow humans will confuse your spiritual life. Hear this revelation – Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil, and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. {Heb 2: 14 – 15 NIV}.
Once you understand that your Union with Christ secures both your life here on earth and your eternal destiny, you can truly devote yourself to serving Christ to any extent without the fear of death.
If you’re not ready to die for Christ, you’re not also living for Him.
Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
