The Fruit Of The Holy Spirit Part I
Beloved be rest assured that God is many miles ahead of any plan or intention of the devil towards any of His child, so you have no reason to be afraid of the devil rather love God. Our scriptural focus for today states – But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness. {Gal 5:22 NLT}
It is totally against the Spirit of Christ for any believer in Christ to manifest the works of the sinful nature, rather by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit he/she is expected by God to live on this earth based on this godly virtues that are listed in this scripture. It is important to emphasize that the godly fruit described in this scripture that is intended to renew our minds and recreate our character/behavior is not produced by the believer in Christ based on his/her hard work but it is solely a work of the Holy Spirit. Bear in mind that the Holy Spirit cannot produce this spiritual fruit in your life without your cooperation. God does not strive with any human to be like Christ, rather it will take your personal willingness and cooperation. The more you cooperate with the Holy Spirit the more you will see this spiritual fruit at work in your life, and the less you cooperate with Him the less of this spiritual fruit you will manifest , creating the opportunity for the works of the flesh to find expression through your life.
The word fruit is singular, indicating that these qualities are one, that means they work in unity and they should all be found in the live of anyone who is in unity with Christ.
In an ultimate sense, this fruit is simply the life of Christ lived out in a Christians life here on earth by the help of the Holy Spirit.
