Deception Exposed Part III

One fundamental principle of godly love is caring for other people. If you say you love as a Christian and you don’t show it by sincerely caring for others, your love isn’t godly. Our scriptural focus for today states – If someone is eager to do good things for you, that’s all right; but let them do it all the time, not just when I’m with you. {Gal 4:18  NLT}

Like Apostle Paul said, it is good to do good works but in the case of the Galatian Christians the eagerness with which these people were going about the good they were doing exposed the deception behind their actions. It will be important to state again that whenever the devil offers any human a supposedly good thing, know that it is always in exchange for something priceless or more valuable than his own offer. In the case of the Galatian Christians, the good works being offered by these false teachers was in exchange for their salvation and eternity with God. The good works was just a cover up for their actual intention. The Galatian Christians were swept off their feet not because they were still baby Christians, but because they failed to discern the spirit these people to know if it be of God or of the devil.

Friends bear in mind that many spirits have gone into the world and have been released into the church which is not the Spirit of Christ. If you as a Christian fail to discern the spirit of those who are introducing you to some new gospel and are using good deeds to cover up their actual intention, you will end up losing your salvation and your eternity with God. Do not allow the devil and his co-travelers to use good deeds to confuse you and make you accept their own gospel. The sacrifice of Christ on the cross for the redemption of humanity from eternal damnation is the greatest good deeds that any man can receive here on earth.

The love for Christ is the actual good deeds.

Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
