Children of Promise Part IV

Who or what you spend your time with as a believer in Christ will have a great impact on what kind of life you will live. Spend your time with the right people and for the right course. Our scriptural focus for today states – So, dear brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman; we are children of the free woman. {Gal 4:31  NLT}
The Apostle Paul uses the phrase – Dear brothers and sisters to describe that but Jews and Gentiles who have believed in Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal saviour and consistently lives a life of righteousness are no longer the children of the bond woman but of the free woman. Further more, everyone who has the seed of Christ in him/her has been eternally set free from the bondage of the law, its obligations and curses. If you’re a child of promise, then you must ensure that you truly understand the covenant of grace by the revelation of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit through Apostle Paul took time to explain the freedom Christ offers because some people were making the Galatian believers live as people who are still under the bondage of the law while claiming to be free in Christ.
In the Body of Christ, there are still people who claim to be believers in Christ but are still living in bondage to the provisions of the law. Hear this – So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free. {Jn 8:36  NLT}. The Holy Spirit is emphasizing that your union with Christ sets you free from everything called bondage, whether they are called generational curses, ancestral curses, family/village curses etc. Hear this truth – But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree. {Gal 3:13 NLT}. Don’t allow anyone talk you into believing that you’re in bondage, even when situations are contrary to your expectations, it does not mean you’re under a curse. Learn to work out your salvation through faith.

Enjoy the freedom Christ has given you.

Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
