Today we continue our series on Pillars of A Healthy Relationship. It is important to note that a healthy relationship is not a perfect relationship, because we may never achieve that while on this side of eternity, but A healthy relationship is one that is built on the godly principles and values of the scriptures.
The foundation for any healthy relationship is going to be the individuals capacity to offer unconditional acceptance to other people, especially the one you share intimate relationship with.
5. RESPONSIBILITY
Being aware that once am in a relationship, I have a life to respond to and I must respond to the opportunities and the situations created around the life of my partner.
Responsibility is the state of being responsible, accountable or answerable to the one you have committed your love to.
Responsibility is so powerful and important, it’s more about enacting your plans, and all the efforts you put in to bring your vision to reality.
The question is – Are you unfolding and unpacking your plans/visions in your relationship or are you just wishing that manna will fall from heaven?
Understand that having a healthy life, having a healthy marriage, having a healthy family requires that you get ready for some situations and learn to accept responsibilities were necessary.
Were there is no plan or vision for entering into a relationship, it will only open you up to all manner of abuse, because you have neglected the virtue – Responsibility.
It is important to note that Responsibility gives Direction to our relationships, because it helps us to be accountable in all things to our partners. If you want to build a healthy relationship, then you must convince yourself that – I Am Accountable/Answerable to my partner in all things, whether you’re a man or woman. Failure to do it, you’re only threading on a slippery path.
Be Responsible – Be Accountable
Have a Grace filled day – Good News awaits you.
