The Same Gospel Part III
Beloved, loving Christ truly means living out His Words for others to see, no matter the cost. Our scriptural focus for today states – -This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace. {Col 1:6 NLT}
Jesus has chosen us who have come to the knowledge of salvation through grace and all who will find this path to go forth and bear fruits. The same way the Gospel changed lives in the days of Apostle Paul, it is still changing lives in our own generation. If the Gospel you preach is not aimed at changing lives, then its not the Gospel of Christ. The ability of the Gospel to change lives isn’t just about transforming a sinner into a saint but has the power to keep changing that saint into the image of Christ on a daily basis. Hear this – So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. {2 Cor 3:18 NLT}
It is the proper understanding of the Gospel of Grace that brings change in a human life and it is also that same understanding that sustains the continuous change that occurs daily as we keep giving ourselves to the Holy Spirit. If you can’t point to the changes that has taken place in your life through your encounter with the Gospel of Grace, then you’re only playing religion.
