Don’t Follow Rules Part I
Beloved, Jesus Christ came to this world to seek and to save the lost in this world, do your part in fulfilling His purpose. Our scriptural focus for today states – Let no one defraud you by acting as an umpire and declaring you unworthy and disqualifying you for the prize, insisting on self-abasement and worship of angels, taking his stand on visions [he claims] he has seen, vainly puffed up by his sensuous notions and inflated by his unspiritual thoughts and fleshly conceit. (Col 2:18 NLT)
The subject of deception and condemnation will always been by your personal choice, and if you’re allowing anyone defraud you of what Christ has done for you, it is because you have made the choice not to study the scriptures through the eyes of the Holy Spirit
The scriptures gives you a very clear instruction which is – Don’t allow anyone defraud/condemn you. Please always bear in mind that Christ did not give any human the privilege of been the umpire of your faith/life, only He(Christ) enjoys that privilege.
Am umpire can be seen as an official who presides over a game of sports, and Christ is the only One qualified because of His death and resurrection to be the umpire of your life. He is the only One that enjoys the exclusive right to declare a human unworthy or disqualify any human for the price.
Don’t open up yourself for deception
