By his death he ended the angry resentment between us, caused by the Jewish laws that favored the Jews and excluded the Gentiles, for he died to annul that whole system of Jewish laws. Then he took the two groups that had been opposed to each other and made them parts of himself; thus he fused us together to become one new person, and at last there was peace. [Eph 2:15 TLB]
Jesus achieved the peace in the Church today by abolishing the Jewish religious system that favoured the Jews only and excluded the rest of the known world as at that time. By this new way of peace no person, church, tribe, race, colour or nation is Gods favourite. God sees all of us now as one Body in Christ. Don’t trouble yourself wanting to be God’s favourite, Christ has abolished it, but spent the rest of your life living in righteousness and you will be accepted by God. It doesn’t matter who you are and what your family background is/was.
All you needed do if you have opened your heart to Jesus is:
1. Live in awe/reverence God
2. Live in righteousness
Then Peter replied, “I see very clearly that God shows no favoritism. In every nation he accepts those who fear him and do what is right. [Acts 10: 34 – 35 NLT]
Righteousness is the key to acceptance.
Have a Grace filled day
