The principal thing the entire human race lost when Adam and Eve took on the nature of sin by listening to the devil was Friendship and fellowship with God. Adam and Eve enjoyed an exceptional friendship and fellowship with God. They were so close that God regularly left His abode in heaven to visit and share fellowship with them. But sin changed all of that and made us God’s enemies.
When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man and his wife heard the LORD God walking about in the garden. So they hid from the LORD God among the trees.
Then the LORD God called to the man, “Where are you?” He replied, “I heard you walking in the garden, so I hid. I was afraid because I was naked.” – Genesis 3:8-10 (NLT)
Hear the wisdom of God – All this is done by God, who through Christ changed us from enemies into his friends and gave us the task of making others his friends also.
The sin of Adam and Eve turned the entire human race to become enemies of God. Although this situation lasted for several years, God never enjoyed having humans as His enemies not even for one day. This explains why He went the extra mile in Jesus Christ to restore friendship and fellowship between Him and as many humans who will acknowledge Christ as their Lord and Savior from sin.
Beloved child of God, your sole responsibility from God is to keep growing and increasing God’s pool of Friends by making Jesus Christ known to those who are yet to join the Friendship party of God – Hallelujah
