So Jesus said to those Jews who had believed in Him, If you abide in My word [hold fast to My teachings and live in accordance with them], you are truly My disciples.
Discipleship is not about belonging to a particular Christian group, rather It is a life long process of learning to be like Jesus Christ.
There are Two principal agents of discipleship and they are:
1. The Scriptures – The scriptures contains the mind of God and the teachings of Jesus Christ.
2. The Holy Spirit – The Holy Spirit gives the Christian understanding into the scriptures.
Christian groups, mentors, pastors etc are the avenues through which discipleship is carried out.
Committing yourself to knowing and living by the Teachings of Jesus Christ makes you a Disciple of Jesus – Hallelujah
